A great little game or activity for EYFS, KS1 or those learning English. A poster showing colour pictures of things that you might find in the home. Each set is of 3 with some sets showing the same item and some different versions of the same thing. e.g. 3 toasters the same, 3 books in different colours and 3 different tea pots. There are matching cards to go with the poster. Children can talk about the objects and match them to the main poster. They can say if they are the same or different items in each set. An original story rhyme for young children which tells of 7 little princesses. Each princess has a favourite colour and was born on a different day of the week. Links in nicely with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Share the colour pictures on the smart board or print them out, laminate and make into a book. Following the story, ask the children what they can recall about the Princesses - Who was born on a Monday? Who has a room that is a terrible mess? Who likes to wear yellow? etc. Next, there are 6 sets of cards to cut out and sort. There is a colour poster showing 25 different circle shaped objects that children may be familiar with - linking shape to real world. There is a template included for children to draw their own objects within circles. Each picture shape is duplicated with 2 to a page.
