All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog.
I know nothing of computer coding but started with one piece of free coding and have been adapting that by incorporating additional free coding.
They are created as TEMPLATES for online interactive resources.
So, if you have a blog, or want to create one to try this concept out, simply copy and paste the text in the downloaded text file as a NEW POST and PUBLISH.

The concept originally came from Google but taken up by Richard Osman’s House of Games. I have adapted it slightly to create levels of differentiation. In esscence it is an activity based around a “process of elimination”.

The activities are meant to be fun, flexible and differentiated.
They are meant to develop transferable skills and be cross curricular.
As a result they hopefully reinforce small chunks of information and give a better understanding of a topic.
I have sorted them into LEARNING, PRACTISING and TESTING activities and will add activities for each grouping if the concept works.
Most of the activities are aimed at UK National Curriculum KS1 and KS2.

Again with an idea from Richard Osman’s, House of Games [BBC2 weekdays 6pm]. The idea is simple in that you “hide” words within sentences. What I found was how easy some topic words are easy to hide [Solar System], some like vegetables are almost impossible to create. However, it is incredible the number of skills that are used in both creating and doing the activities.

Using the “zooming” coding I simply chose, in this case a place, and googled a number of simple facts which become the “zooming descriptions” with a picture as the final clue. The possibilities for this simple type of activity could provide endless learning for all levels of ability.

CALCULATOR WORDS is based on the same coding as a “calculator” where clicking on a frame makes text appear in the frame above.
In this case a simple CVC activity based on words ending in AB, EB, IB, OB and UB. Obviously, other endings can easily be inputted.

A simple activity to create. Once you have the template [-an] can be easily changed to [-en], [-in], [-on] and [-un].
The endings again can be changed very easily [-an] to [-at], [-ab], [-ar] and so on. A bank of these available may be a useful resouce to keep handy.
