All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. I know nothing of computer coding but started with one piece of free coding and have been adapting that by incorporating additional free coding. They are created as TEMPLATES for online interactive resources. So, if you have a blog, or want to create one to try this concept out, simply copy and paste the text in the downloaded text file as a NEW POST and PUBLISH.

SPOT THE DIFFERENCE [comparing two pictures] [2]

I came across a piece of coding which allows you to input two pictures. A blue button appears in the centre of the pictures which you can move to the left [allowing you to see the complete top picture] or to the right [allowing you to see the complete bottom picture]. What it does do is allow you to compare two pictures quickly. My first thought were a set of “spot the difference” pictures I had and have used before but secondly was a set of “then and now pictures” I found and I will add these later. The original activity can be found at https://learnanytime-mycreations.blogspot.com/2023/09/spot-difference-comparing-two-pictures-2.html The activities are meant to be fun, flexible and differentiated. They are meant to develop transferable skills and be cross curricular. As a result they hopefully reinforce small chunks of information and give a better understanding of a topic. Most of the activities are aimed at UK National Curriculum KS1 and KS2. learnanytime@gmail.com A picture catalogue of all my resources can be found at : https://learnanytime-practising.blogspot.com

Animal Classification [colouring words] [A-M]

Using a combination of coding I have used before I created this template which gives learners information [from drop down lists] and a grid of names [in this case animals] and asks them to colour them [background colours] according to the criteria [in this case animal classification]. This template could be adapted for parts of speech, classes of levers, food groups or words associated with particlar topics like the seasons. I have noticed that the topic of time is viewed often so I thought I would look to create more activities on this topic. By creating “pictures” of written text it makes things simpler to adapt previous activities. I have created this one using the o’clock time with a clockface, written time, digital 1 and digital 2 to cover the 24 hour clock. This activity covers 1 o’clock, 3 o’clock, 6 o’clock and 9 0’clock. I have created “pictures” of all of the times of hours, quarter past, half past and quarter to. I will add these if requested.
