All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. I find some free coding to create a new type of activity and then find some suitable content. Any content can be adapted to any activity. All I need is feedback and requests.

This is an activity based simply on the ability to change the background colour of words in a sentence.,
In this example I have used it to highlight parts of speech but the possiblities are endless.

I know nothing of computer coding but started with one piece of free coding and have been adapting that by incorporating additional free coding.
They are created as TEMPLATES for online interactive resources.
So, if you have a blog, or want to create one to try this concept out, simply copy and paste the text in the downloaded text file as a NEW POST and PUBLISH.
If the concept works PLEASE let me know and I will add other TEMPLATES I have created.
The activities are meant to be fun, flexible and differentiated.
They are meant to develop transferable skills and be cross curricular.
As a result they hopefully reinforce small chunks of information and give a better understanding of a topic.
Most of the activities are aimed at UK National Curriculum KS1 and KS2.

Combining the coding from a couple of activities I came up with this means of helping learners be in control of the pace of their own learning. As a concept it is simple, a set of notes where learners identify and colour the words which they think are important. As they read and understand the words and their meanings they can then “un-colour” the words when they decide they “know” that set of notes and move on to the next. Again easy to produce so a bank of these available for learning or revising may be helpful.

This is an attempt to combine a learning activity with a testing activity. So you could just use the video clip as a Learning activity simply by making the clip full screen. I decided to try and use the What, Why, How, When, Which, Where and Why questioning technique but not sure how beneficial this is.

Most of my activities are based around pictures as I am a visual learner.
I created a set of screenshots from a series of video clips which included a picture, the name and the meaning of a series of homophones.
With the second set I removed the title and with the third set I removed the meaning of the words.
Leaving me with 3 sets of pictures [a], [b] and [c] providing an opportunity to create the same activity for 3 different levels of difficulty.
I can create a download of all of the pictures used in this series of activities if required, just let me know.

This simple coding allows a picture to be dropped into a frame which makes up a row, the rest of the row being a series of words which make up a sentence, the picture representing the homophone. The coding allows this TEMPLATE to be used for any sentences to include a picture whether it be an English, science, history, geography topic or project.
