This Lesson provides a stimulus for delivery religion, philosophy and ethics at KS3, by providing students with the key terminology relevant to religion and belief, and allows them to reflect on their own beliefs. The Lesson includes content surrounding, Functional and Substantive Definitions of Religion, with a strong focus on literacy. The Lesson also includes activities that act as an ice breaker and introduce learners to RPE. Feedback is always welcome :)

Introduction to Situation Ethics for Edexcel A Level Religious Studies, but can be applied for other exam boards, including AQA, OCR, EDUQAS. This Lesson covers an introduction to theory, including its status as Normative, Deontological, Relativist and Consequential. The Context to the theory, including Joseph Fletcher and the 1960s. The Theory as the ‘Middle way’ between Legalism and antinomianism. The Biblical context to the theory, including in the Letters of St Paul and Life of Jesus. This lesson also includes an assessment opportunity for the ‘8 Mark’ question. There are 3 Worksheets included, they are Exam Style Question, Agape in the New Testament, and Twitter blank quotes sheet.
