Engaging Female Students in Sport

I am the director of Supporting Girls Football, Mental Health Practitioner & Educator. I am passionate about removing barriers that prevent 11 - 16-year-old girls from positively engaging in sport. I offer key stage 3 & 4 programmes that engage & support female students who need extra support in accessing the curriculum e.g. students with SEN and emotional or mental health difficulties.

“All girls have periods!” I am a mother of three teenage girls, so as an educator I am combining research and personal experience to bring you this learning resource. It’s suitable for anyone working with girls (and boys) between the ages of 11 and 13 years. The intention is to increase enjoyment, attendance and active participation in sports. Implementation of the three main areas covered in this short course will have a major impact on the emotional, social, physical and academic aspects of development.
