This is a work pack which helps support learners in a write up for part of Learning Aim A assignment. The learner makes a standard solution of calcium carbonate from solid, then uses this to standardise the hydrochloric acid in a titration, and finally uses the standardised hydrochloric acid to calculate the concentration of an unknown solution of sodium hydroxide using a titration. I have not specified the concentration of HCl or NaOH as it doesnt matter but I used 0.1M for each.

They have been written to be delivered in an order, there is less support towards the end and learners are encouraged to come up with their own ideas. The order follows that in the specification There is are a number of youtube hyper links which are helpful to explain conditions especially where the lesson is being delivered by a non specialist or cover. There are 11 power points in the bundle and each will support a minimum of 1 lesson each (or more depending on how much discussion and linking activities)
