I have built up a bank of non doer worksheets over the years for various activities including winter and summer. These are related to the lesson - so they are not just something for them to do but they are able to engage within the lesson and with their peers. Great for keeping them learning whilst not participating, observation lessons etc.
Included:
Summer - tennis, cricket, rounders
Winter - football, netball, football, rugby
General - fitness, gymnastics
This is a resource I bring out year on year combining sprinting and sprint start techniques as well as numeracy. Students in KS3 and above love this resource and it is always a fun lesson - particularly good for observations/Ofsted too. Students calculate their running speed and compare to animals… “Miss I can run as fast as a pig!”
Includes - calculation help point for lower ability, estimate and recording space for group members, sprint start guide, group role explanation.
A lesson good to go!
This is a remote learning pack for our Year 10/11 students where they explore coaching and leadership skills through various methods including analysing clips, comparisons as well as tasks that direct them to research skills, qualities and plan sessions for specific groups.
This is a fitness testing ppt that is student led and what I have used for remote teaching during lockdown and could contribute to virtual sports days. All tests can be set up easily at home with basic equipment, have instrcutions, pictures or animated gifs, an equipment list, various normative data for analysis and context of where we might use the component within PE and sport. Good to go! (Our students have been doing one test a week during lesson time and sending in results to create a top 20 of the year group).
