This SOW includes two packs - one practical exploration of Jack Thorne’s adaptation of Let the Right One In based on the novel by John Ajvide Lindqvist. The SOW is aimed towards AQA GCSE Drama Component 3 scripted performance. Let The Right One In is a recommened text by AQA. This bundle is ready to teach and includes both practical and theory to best prepare students for the exam. Let the Right One In follows the story of a teenage boy named Oskar, and a 200 year old vampire named Eli, who is stuck in the body of a teenager. Set in 1980’s Sweden, the story surrounds the love story between the two. Oskar lives with his mother in their flat in Blackeberg. This SOW looks at Romeo and Juliet scene by scene and include over 100 slides. Each scene is analysed and explained. The SOW allows the play to be explored through both practical and written activities. This SOW explores verbatim theatre and is based on a resource created by 20Stories High, Tales from the MP3. Students are introduced to recorded delivery and then explore this technique creating their own performance using this method. Students explore other verbatim theatre plays. The SOW is in two halfs and then students explore a Taking Care of Baby (2007) by Dennis Kelly. This SOW is suitable for component 3 of GCSE Drama (AQA)
