This resource includes a presentation and corresponding worksheet for a fun lesson on the use of the passive and active sentences. The superhero-themed PowerPoint recaps how to use each voice and then provides challenges in which pupils can apply learning. Also included is a two-page worksheet.
This pack consists of resources for an hour-long staff meeting which introduces five strategies for improving English skills. In this session, quick and easy activities including reciprocal reading, dictation, language drill, reciprocal reading, precision teaching and dictogloss are clearly explained then demonstrated to staff. Practitioners are then given time at meeting to choose a strategy and plan a session to carry out with pupils. This resource consists of a PowerPoint presentation with ten punctuation and grammar activities reflecting the spelling, punctuation and grammar requirements from the year 2 curriculum for English: capital letters, full stops, question marks, exclamation marks, time conjunctions,
compound sentences, subordination, apostrophes for possession, noun phrases and commas in lists. These activities are based on an animal theme and each one lasts for 5- 15 minutes.
