Lesson talking about dates to revise the perfect tense. Titeuf and Nadia go out on a date and there is an exercise to complete based on an episode of Titeuf (link on PowerPoint). Includes, reading, writing, speaking and listening activities. We use it with Studio 3 rouge. Do let me know if you spot any errors.

Print off the cards. Pupils have to form the sentences on the worksheet (they can work in groups or in pairs) with the cards. Includes, regular verbs, salir, hacer, ir, tener, querer, poder and jugar.

A few quotes by famous people (some quite amusing) - students simply have to report what each has said. I get my class to translate each quote into English before moving to the next.

This is just a little board game to encourage independent learning and speaking in pairs. It is based on the 2nd module in the Mira 3 Rojo book which covers school and education. Pupils will need a dice and counters. I float round the classroom whilst they play and they use me as a referee in case of a challenge. More able pupils can also play the role of ref once they feel comfortable with the vocabulary. Get a question wrong go back 3 spaces.

Simple introduction to the perfect tense. I use this after having taught a lesson on the perfect tense in English where I ask the class (they use Expo 2 vert so they are not high flyers) to spot patterns in regular and irregular English verbs. the worksheet is designed for them to fill in as you go through the presentation.

This is a PowerPoint presentation and a simple worksheet to compliment Module 6.3 from Listos 1. It involves present tense conjugation of regular and irregular verbs and freetime activities. There are some simple gapfill exercises on the PowerPoint. I get the class to fill in the verb tables on the worksheet and then write their own sentences linked with pictures from the presentation.

This is a simple presentation to illustrate narration using the perfect and imperfect tenses. I used it to supplement work from Expo 3 rouge and pupils then went off and created some PowerPoint slides of their own - some highly amusing!

This is adapted from a Ppt I have already uploaded. It includes three tenses in this one and i have also uploaded a board game to practise the vocabulary and which also includes the modal verbs devoir, pouvoir and vouloir.

These are simply a set of cards with English on one side and Spanish on the other. My year 8 pupils have used them successfully to learn for an end of module test and there are several games that can be played with them. A Christmas worksheet, fill in missing verbs.Pupils can be given the infinitives and told to work out what tenses they have to use. Alternatively, you could decide to give them no help at all and let them get inventive. You could of course give out the answers and get them to match the captions to the blank pictures. This is a collection of my speaking board games which are ideal for independent work. They can be used for any language. They are ideal for GCSE role play revision, but can also be excellent preparation for the listening and reading examinations. There are some ideas on how to use the boards. You may like to give pupils dice and some counters, but you can also play with them when the board is projected on your whiteboards (to save printing costs).
