Sport and Society - Emergence of globalisation of sport i the 21C Industrial and Post-Industrial Development of Sport (1780-1900) For AS Level PE (AQA) - New 2016 Specification - 7581 This is a robust teaching resource covering all areas of the new specification. Includes a thorough 61 slide presentation, student worksheet following presentation, keyword definitions activity (print and cut for match-up task), examination style questions and answers, and a link to a Kahoot! quiz containing a further 20 multiple choice questions. The resource also includes a link to access documents via Google drive which I will update as accordingly. Key areas of the specification include: Pre-industrial Britain recap The Industrial Revolution (first and second half) The Factory Acts Broken Time Payments Urbanisation The Transport Revolution Development of Communications The Influence of the Church Three-Tier Class System The British Empire Increase of Public Provision by Local Authorities Development of NGB’s Rational Recreation A range of research tasks throughout that easily covers 2-3 lessons worth of content. I have personally spent many hours researching and creating this resource. Why spend your own time doing this? All my resources are available at a very reasonable price and are specifically for the new specification. As an experienced A-level teacher, I understand how difficult and time consuming it is to find relevant resources for a change of specification so I created them myself. I have many more resources for both the 7581 (AS) and 7582 (A Level) specifications available on TES.

Team building and OAA challenges

(0)
Over 30 team building and outdoor adventurous activities for that can be used within the PE curriculum and for both student and staff team building workshops. I have been creating and adding to these over the last 7 years to provide a wide range of fun and creative tasks that have a strong emphasis on problem solving and teamwork. I have used them within my PE lessons as part of an OAA unit of work, with my form groups at the start of the year, with A level students to develop teamwork, with staff as part of a full team building day and i also delivered these to fellow professionals at a PE conference. Hopefully they can give you some ideas on how to create and implement simple tasks using minimal equipment to further develop communication, teamwork, leadership and problem solving skills.
