A set of cards/posters that I was asked to create that were printed out for each classroom. They are used around school to allow all subject teachers to easily show students when they are using numeracy skills across the curriculum.
Eye-catching and student-friendly design to help engage students.
Ideal for quickly showing the links between subjects and all the cross-curricular elements of numeracy.
An unusual and eye-catching maths display based on Taxi Cab Geometry.
A great way to engage students and introduce them to different types of geometry. Also good intro to distance between two points using Pythagoras, loci and perpendicular bisectors.
Full resources that I have created myself.

Descriptions
Distance between two points diagrams and descriptions
Circle/Ellipse/Parabola/Hyperbola diagrams and descriptions
(the files 'e' and 't' denote the loci in Euclidean and taxi cab geometries)
Perpendicular bisectors with diagrams and descriptions
Not included due to copyright are the two pictures I haven't created myself - the taxi and the grey square - both easily available online,
A fantastic eye-catching maths display to show the rules and methods for TRIGONOMETRY. Really stands out on the wall and has proved really useful for my classes as they are getting to grips with the basics of trigonometry.
Included is:
Title
All lettering for the right-angled triangle rules
A right-angled triangle with labels (I printed the triangle on A3)
SOHCAHTOA formula triangles
Sine/Cosine rule
Full resources for an eye-catching and informative maths display based on MEAN MEDIAN MODE & RANGE.
I've used the Beatles to get the info across (for no other reason apart from I like the Beatles!) but the resources can be easily amended so any characters could easily be used. I haven't included the pictures shown the photo for copyright purposes (I wasn't sure where the cartoon images came from) but they can be easily printed from google images.
Large letters for the title
Title of each section
Large simple descriptors
detailed speech bubbles describing the method
An eye-catching maths display on PRIME FACTOR TREES including Venn Diagram method for HCF and LCM.
All numbers and speech bubbles to show how to use prime factor decomposition to find the HCF and LCM using a Venn diagram.
For the cover picture, a cut my own letters out of card but I have included some printable ones to make a complete resource. I have used little cartoon heads to show the descriptions but they could be put up without speech bubbles as just descriptions.
I printed the Venn diagram out A3 to make it stand out more and for the lines joining the prime factor tree I just cut strips of yellow and blue paper.
Enjoy!

A fantastic 'Logic Puzzle Trail' display that looks good and can be used in corridors or classrooms for group activities or competitions. The activity features a maths superhero of my own creation, CAPTAIN PI! (Yes I know I'm a geek!), His trusty sidekick Theta the Dog and their nemesis, Dr Surd!
Loads of logic puzzles of varying degrees of difficulty (complete with solutions!) and pictures to go with each one to make the display more eye catching. You could add different pictures if you have some better ones.
Title letters that can printed out on coloured paper if desired.
I have also included character symbols so students can distinguish between the difficulty of each puzzle and a sheet of smaller identical symbols to go with each puzzle (the small circle next to each puzzle in the picture.
Easy - Level 1 - Theta the Dog
Medium - Level 2 - Captain Pi
Hard - Level 3 - Dr Surd
Also included are a sheet of Captain Pi's space boot footprints to lead students around the trail and add an extra eye-catching element to the display!
This display is in the corridor and I have used it previously as a competition for students to come up with solutions and submit to me for a prize draw. It could also be used in classrooms as a more scaled down version to start tasks and discussions. Fun and challenging!
