A complete 10 lesson series on basic algebra skills (Over 100 slides !). Lesson has been used for GCSE foundation students as well as introducing k pupils to algebra. All lessons start with a review section which recaps key skills, followed by carefully selected examples to be modeled by the teacher. Practice sections are differentiated into support, core and challenge with answers provided for all lessons. Worksheets are also included. The PowerPoint consists of a mixed review starter and then introduces the concept of adding and subtracting negative through the temperature in the classroom. e.g. Adding cold air will make the room feel colder (so more negative). The PowerPoint also includes additional questions at select points to check students understanding before moving onto independent practice (Worksheet).
