This is a whole terms work. Unit 3.11 and 3.12 and 1.2 and 1.4. I teach these units together and ask the students to complete a reflective log in placement. placement log included. I have uploaded as PDF. When i find the orginal word and powerpoint documents i will upload too.

We teach year 9 Childcare, but do not follow an industry recognised scheme of work, I have used the CACHE level 1 course to create a few work packs. This gives our learners the underlying knowledge they need to start the level 2 course in year 10. These workpacks are used each week for one lesson, and last a term of learning. 4 packs of revision. This is unit 3 for the ACDC qualification. This is unit 1 and unit 2 combined. I print these on coloured paper and for some students print on A3 paper. They read and highlight the key words and answer the questions at the end. This works well for our students.

I created this resource before there was a text book for this qualification, wanting to identify exactly what needed to be included in the tasks . This helped my teaching and planning, and also helped other teachers in the department when planning and marking. I have not given these sheets to students although it has been written so that students could be given this. (This the qualification on a plate!, so not ethical to give to students, unless for revising for exam. )This is for the whole qualification.

This is the complete unit for unit 10 with a power point to support the assignment writing and a work pack to help prepare for the assignment. I have found the assignment work pack helped with the assignment writing. The students completed the work pack by themselves over the Christmas period. This has helped them with their assignment.

These are placement plans for a year for the EYE qualification. I have planned for the cluster assessment. This covers the units 3.5/3.6/3.9/3.10/3.13/2.5. i have also included placement reflection packs. I have found these reflection packs focus students.

A variety of resources for the play units 3.1/3.2 and 3.4. There is a work pack for 3.2 and 3.1 and power points for 3.1 and 3.4. I have included the observational assessment criteria which i made into a work pack for students to complete in placement. This covered all observational criteria for units 3.2 and 3.4. It allows for cluster assessment. For some of the power points i have uploaded the plain power point as well as the colourful one. This is because i often print my power points out to support students with learning needs. It allows me to print or photocopy on to buff paper.

This meets the criteria for taught section of the course. I have included plans for observation and a tracking sheet for the mandatory section of the qualification. There are unit plans for for individual units and holistic plans for assessors to plan for cluster assessment. The Power points could be used as work packs for students to gather evidence
