I've been an art and design educator for 10 years. Working in both the UK and internationally. I believe it is incredibly important to nurture globally-minded students who are able to communicate visually and apply critical thinking to the art and media we all consume daily.

Artist inspiration and resources for the 2022 IB MYP PCUP - touching on 5 different issues of the 21st century; technology, humanitarian violations, refugee crisis, environmental and ecological damage, and waste and conspicuous consumption. Artists featured come from across the globe and there is a balance of genders, some artists are mid career and some are very well established. As the PCUP states 21st century all artworks featured have been made within the last 22 years and every image is referenced for ease of use by students. I have opened with the questions taken from the PCUP. For less than the price of a coffee you will receive an editable PowerPoint which you could either use as is, or add to if desired, and a printable PDF file.

Can be used in a variety of ways as starters and plenaries, cover and distance learning. Have your students try different skills in each word. How could they link the word to the skill practice? Great for a variety of age ranges particularly my year 7 and 8 students have enjoyed practicing their colour pencil blending.
