Using a long life milk carton or juice carton you can introduce students to the etching process in a low cost effective way. In this workshop students are introduced to the etching technique asked theory of knowledge questions and taken through the process. Student examples are also included at a variety of ability levels. Materials needed are juice boxes or cartons with silver foil interior. I ask staff to drop off almond milk/longlife milk cartons to the art dept for recycling. sharp needles or sharp compasses are also needed. This workshop lends itself well to any theme students may be working on.
