Emotional Check-in

Emotional check-in is a great way to support children to talk about their emotions. My class use our ‘emotional check-in’ display as they come into the classroom every morning. They attach their photo to the emotion they are feeling. I check our emotional check-in display when I am taking the register and will go and talk to any pupils who have said they are feeling unwell, sad, angry or anxious. I also check the display throughout the day as pupils can move their picture if they start to feel differently.
