This is a student friendly booklet to help guide your pupils through unit 4 of the Pearson Btec Firsts Music qualification. Including workbook space to map out ideas and checklists to help them reach that distinction criteria. Created for use with the 2020/21 music cohort this 17 page booklet has been a successful T&L tool to help students think about the compositions that they are creating, rather than simply just creating. The booklet forces them to analyse what they are doing, think about structure and harmonic progressions alongside space for teacher feedback. The guide contains a ‘how to export’ section from ‘Logic Pro X’ and a checklist of what is expected of students at distinction level. Included on the back of the booklet is the learner declaration form that students can sign, date and return to you ready for submitting the unit. Due to the annotations needed on the booklet this can also be used for evidence. There is also space provided to enable students to properly write up lyrics & chords etc for their ‘Musicians Pack’. Provided as a PDF for direct printing (it works best as an A4 booklet printed on A3 paper).
