I post things that are finished and that work. I make resources when I can't find anything that works in the way which I want it to. If they don't work for you then let me know through the comments section and I'll try to put them right. If they do work and you like them then please comment too. Some things take a long time to make and to get right... so I charge a little for those.

Isotopes of hydrogen are used to show what isotopes are. Calculations of Relative Atomic Mass are covered through a worked example using chlorine and then an exercise using copper. Disposing of plastics active reading sheet

Disposing of plastics active reading sheet

(8)
Active reading sheets get pupils to read the information several times and analyse it in different ways. Pupil read the sheet then re-read it to add titles to paragraphs, then re-read it to find the negatives, then re-read to find the positives, then re-read to find business strategies. A useful way to put across a lot of information without copying and with the knowledge that it will be read. Comments welcomed

Triple Science Opens Doors is a powerpoint that can be used in assemblies or on interactive displays to advertise the benefits of triple science. I have also printed out the individual slides and displayed them in groups of three in labs and corridors. There are slides linked directly to food tech, product design, music, english, geography, history, so have them displayed there too!!

Q&A sheet on rates for OCR Gateway C3

(1)
The first page is the Q&A sheet, with questions from the syllabus. Higher tier questions in bold type. Students can revise alone, just fold down the middle. Or with a partner, the advantage being that the partner has the correct answers, so they don't have to invent questions or make up answers. Great for parental involvement in revision. The second page has the answers removed and can be used for testing. No need for you to mark it, if the pupils have their copy of the QéA sheet they can peer or self mark and then set targets. Comments and feedback welcome
