Example can be used within a week’s work, as a WAGOLL or as a independent task for an English or Guided reading lesson. Would work well for distance/online learning.

For this Science investigation, the children need to complete the result table by measuring the temperature in different places. They must have a thermometer. Two different tasks - one at school and one at home. Easy to follow and clear to all so could be used independently by KS2 children at home, as part of online / distance learning or at school. Or could use one in class and set the other as homework. Extension questions to develop further Scientific skills.

Easy materials that are found nearby plus the chance for the children to add two of their choice.
