Science Investigation - Measuring temperature - suitable for at school or at home (online teaching)

(0)
For this Science investigation, the children need to complete the result table by measuring the temperature in different places. They must have a thermometer. Two different tasks - one at school and one at home. Easy to follow and clear to all so could be used independently by KS2 children at home, as part of online / distance learning or at school. Or could use one in class and set the other as homework. Extension questions to develop further Scientific skills.

Posters and mini reminders to stick in books to remind children to include their basic skills. (Capital letters, full stops and checking sentences make sense!) These skills are simple but so easily forgotten. Repetition and visual clues will help the children to remember to use them. Colour coded to help.

Sea shells powerpoint - full of seashell images and a variety of open ended, cross circular tasks

Great visual powerpoint with lots of images of different sea shells. Then a list of open ended, cross circular tasks for children to complete. As a teacher you could set all tasks or allow children to choose their favourite ones to complete. Would work well with a beach, island or environment topic. Tasks set to KS2 children and could easily be set for home, distance or online learning.
