Celebrate Halloween this October with your primary pupils with this 45 question quiz themed around the event complete with answers. This resource is a 45 question Halloween quiz created on Microsoft Powerpoint suitable for KS2 primary and KS3 secondary students. Whats included? Within this resource there are 45 questions spanning 4 rounds. A mixture of multiple choice and general knowledge question types are included. Topics range from fantastic facts about Halloween and all spooky association to general knowledge questions, literary works, song lyrics and spooky TV and film favourites. Your pupils will have so much fun engaging with this quiz. The answers can then shared as a class either by going through each question individually (ensure you are in present mode for the correct answer to colour green) for students to peer or self mark. You could alternatively use the quick answer quiz sheet variation of this quiz if you would prefer to speed things up! Additionally, answers to each individual question can be found on the notes section of each individual PowerPoint slide. An answer sheet has been created for students to use with this quiz to ensure they stay on track. There are 5 bonus anagrams on the sheet for students to workout where they find the opportunity. The answers to these are provided within the same powerpoint. Once students have completed the quiz, they can demonstrate their learning by completing the 16 question crossword puzzle included in this resource. All questions and answers for the crossword will have been covered in the quiz. There are 2 variations of the same crossword, one with and one without a word bank to help differentiate for pupils. A completed teacher answer sheet has also been provided. Delivery advice I would recommend for this quiz students get into groups of no more than 4 and the activity should take no longer than 50 minutes to complete. Halloween anagram worksheet activities to share with your KS2 primary or KS3 secondary students. Included in this resource is a PowerPoint with 12x Halloween themed anagrams - 1 per slide. Students need to unscramble the letters to find the word. This resource is on PPT format and completely editable and the answers to each anagram are at the bottom of each slide and also on a slide at the end of the presentation. This resource is also accompanied by a printable worksheet if you would prefer students to work independently. A Remembrance Day resource created for teachers to share with tutor groups student assemblies or to be used for a one off lesson with your secondary KS3 and KS4 students. Included in this Microsoft Powerpoint resource is a teacher-led powerpoint presentation on Remembrance Day with optional links to Youtube videos to enhance the learning. This lesson is designed for my current Y11 students starting AQA Paper 1 (Old Spec). It covers the content to the event in steps which studentscan work on either independently or in groups. The activity for this can be structured in a carousel if you wish. The event has been broken down in simple points as students can sometimes get a little confused with the names and agendas of people in Anschluss. Each step is accompanied by images to prompt memory. Quick AFL checkpoint in the form of a Pop Quiz is in there. The penultimate task in this lesson is for students to become familiar with the 10 mark question on Paper 1. Students are provided with the answer and have to figure out the exam technique behind it. What do they need to do and what do they not need to do. The question allows students to use prior knowledge of the Rhineland crisis and students then need to consider which event was more significant in causing ww2. Model answer & student scaffold are provided as part of the pack and all resources have been produced to an excellent standard. Please review!

This lesson looks at how William the Conqueror tried to maintain control of England following his 1066 invasion by introducing and implementing the Feudal System. The lesson looks at what a feudal system was/is and compares it in the modern day context. Students create their own fuedal system and a create piece of homework is set to allow students the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge Same style as all my previous lessons with high quality presentation and resources to ensure maximum student engagement.

This lesson is the first in my SOW following William of Normandy’s ascension to the English throne in 1066. The lesson focuses heavily on Williams problems now that he is a foreign ruler in England in 1066 having conquered its people by force. It looks at the problems William may face and gets students to consider their solutions. Students then demonstrate their learning by practicing a 4 mark describe question (New AQA exam technique) Peer assessment can easily be incorporated for efficient marking. This lesson details the social/economic and political consequences of the WSC and introduces the the fall of the republican government. The lesson covers paired and independent work and offers students the opportunity to move around the room to exchange causes with one another.
