This set of resources includes 2x PPT, 2x word files and can be delivered over 2-3 lessons. We start by looking at various leaders to find out what actually makes a good leader. We look at 3 fictional characters with different styes as well as 3 fictional businesses, students try to justify which leader is suited for each business, we then go on to look at the four styles with examples before reading a case study on a business that has been transformed through leadership - a 12 mark question with structure guidance and concise model answer provided for students to peer assess with.
In the second lesson, we look at a scenario of autocratic leadership, students discuss for and against this style by applying it to the scenario. We then go on to an engaging group activity with different difficult scenarios students find themselves in, and as leaders they have a range of actions they can take to fix the difficult situations. A case study on the legendary investor Warren Buffet with a 4 mark question and model answer.

This double lesson introduces learners to motivation, we look at both the four theories and the variety of ways to motivate in practice. We start with looking at the four theorists, step by step with discussion, a short case study to apply the knowledge with answers on the powerpoint.
We then go onto look at financial and non financial methods of motivation before looking at a case study of a company that has been voted as one of the best places to work - we investigate what makes it such a good place to work, a 12 mark question based on this with structure guidance and a model answer provided.

This set of resources includes 1x PPT and 2x word files and can be delivered over 2-3 lessons. Learners are introduced to key concepts in organisational structures such as span of control and chain of command in engaging ways i.e chinese whispers to demonstrate the negatives of a long chain of command. We look at the pros and cons of tall, flat and matrix structures, then we move on onto centralised and decentralised structures. A short case study based on cartoon characters who have switched to decentralised - a few questions to contextualize the knowledge.
Students have the opportunity to learn about the supermarket industry, in particular Morrisons struggle with the budget supermarkets which led to restructuring - a 12 mark question with structure guidance and a detailed model answer to help students with peer assessments, as well as making improvements to WWW and EBI.
To spice it up a bit, a group matching task, where students have to create an organisational structure - answer sheet provided so teacher can look around whilst students work on it.

This set of resources includes 2x ppts, 4x word docs and a number of clips for 2 lessons. Learners are introduces to recruitment and the steps involved (step by step) and students have the opportunity to participate in being interviewed by Lord Sugar (answers by the man himself are given too). Once recruited, we look at what training might need to be delivered and how through on the job vs off the job training, a scenario to highlight the pros and cons of each. In the second practiical lesson, students have the opportunity to participate in the interview process, students are given job descriptions and person specifications for which they should prepare interview answers for. 3 scenarios in total and students will have the opportunity to switch roles to get an experience of both sides.

Learners are introduced to two main concepts 1) the product life cycle and 2) the boston matrix and how the two concepts are linked together. We start with looking at different stages a product goes through by looking at some real examples, students have the opportunity to become familiar with the cycle by creating their own - and describing what sales and costs are like at each stage too.
We then go on to look at the boston matrix, we look at each quadrant to understand the cash cows and dogs characteristics in depth. A group task to develop a marketing mix for a drink or a chocolate whilst considering the stage in the product life cycle - students can present their ideas back on the A3 sheet to the class. Another group task where students are given a business and they need to allocate the businesses products into the boston matrix, this could also be fed back or presented.

This double lesson introduces learners to price elasticity of demand - a tricky concept at first but this resource breaks everything down step by step with plenty of calculation and essay exam practice. We start by looking at the concept of elasticity with an engaging Eastenders starter, we learn the key formulas needed to tackle any PED questions before looking at examples of some inelastic products.
Students have the opportunity to calculate PED questions with answers on the board to show how answers are reached. We start by looking at why suppliers supply, once students grasp it is for the incentive of profit we look at examples which can affect supply. We then go on to illustrate these impacts on diagrams with shifts in the supply curve - all broken down so students can grasp it quickly.

This set of resources includes 1x PPT, 1x set of group task cards and 1x word case study, this can be delivered over two lessons. Learners are introduced to demand and the various factors influencing demand. We look at movements in the demand curve through price first before going through each factor with relevant examples such as using Messi and Ronaldo adverts to highlight the impact on demand for football boots. We also look at how this can be shown on diagramatically on demand curves.
We then go on to ‘Walkthrough Westfield’ which is a group activity, students are given a set of factors which affect demand, and then through our virtual walkthrough we stop at different shops, students have the opportunity to dicuss and rank the factors for that particular shop (encouraging application and evaluation). Students then read a concise case study and answer an 8 mark question, structure guidance and model answer provided for peer assessments.
