This is a list with all the vocabulary about “town”. It contains 2 slides and they are divided into masculine and feminine words as well as graphics to illustrate the words.
There is also a tiny grammar box on each slide to remind the students about the use of “un” and “une”.

The role plays are adapted from the ones taken from the past papers. They are bit more challenging for your students. The vocabulary used in the official past papers is easier than the one I used. They could be a good revision for your students.

Who it’s for : This reading comprehension is for teachers who are teaching a higher level of French. It is good for students with good French reading and speaking skills, as it talks about the current French movement : the Yellow Vests.

I also recorded myself reading the text so the students have a better idea on how to pronounce some of the words they might not be sure about. There is also a video that I uploaded. It is also a good exercise for your students as it shows different “messages” that they can analyse. (Some of the photos are repeated in the video)

Practical tips :
Some of the questions in exercise 2 can be used as a speaking task.
Exercise 1 can be done with or without a dictionary.
The sheet explains what prepositions to use when you talk about a country, a town, and then precisely where you live (in the countryside, seaside etc).
It is good to have it in the student’s notebook as a reminder.
You can also go through it with your students and then add an exercise for them to practice.
It can also be given to the students as a homework.
