GCSE Physics - Required Practical 4c Diode

(0)
I have reworked the required practical from AQA as using cells did not provide sufficient variability or control for collecting data on a diode. This practical sheet provides detailed instructions of how to set up the circuit and gather the data including how to do this using LEDs instead of a diode.

GCSE Physics - Particle model and density lesson plan and presentation

(0)
A detailed lesson plan and PPT presentation to introduce particle models and density to GCSE Physics students. There are a sequence of demos detailed in here for looking at conservation of mass and changes of state and density along with a worksheet of calculations for students to complete to practice using the density equation. Answers included! Please remember to review. Thanks.

Taboo Template

(0)
A template for creating your own taboo game. All you have to do is fill in the topics on the cards and print them out. Students then describe the item at the top of the cards without using any of the words on the card.
Tarsia Puzzle template

Tarsia Puzzle template

(1)
This is a handy template for creating Tarsia Puzzles. They are triangular pieces that form a hexagon when connected up correctly. Write words/definitions on each piece so that they pair up, cut up the pieces and then students have to put the puzzle back together based on their knowledge. This does not do it for you automatically. This is a great tool for testing knowledge on a wide range of topics.
GCSE Physics - Electric Fields lesson plan and presentation

GCSE Physics - Electric Fields lesson plan and presentation

(1)
A detailed lesson plan and presentation about Electric fields. It takes the student through looking at magnetism as a non-contact force and then applying this knowledge to electrostatics whilst looking at similarities. They then progress to drawing field diagrams and writing explanations of electrostatic repulsion and the triboelectric effect. Thanks for looking. Don't forget to review if you buy!
GCSE Physics - static electricity lesson plan and presentation

GCSE Physics - static electricity lesson plan and presentation

(1)
A lesson plan and presentation introducing static electricity and the triboelectric effect. There are links to a couple of you tube videos that emphasise the points being made. This lesson also details a practical that students can do to experience the triboelectric effect for themselves.
GCSE Physics - The National Grid lesson plan, presentation and worksheet

GCSE Physics - The National Grid lesson plan, presentation and worksheet

(0)
Lesson plan, PPT presentation and worksheet for the National Grid. This references two videos that are available on you tube, linked from the presentation. The worksheet has questions for the students to answer whilst they are watching the videos. You will also need a National Grid demo model setup to talk through the structure and demonstrate the effect of the transformers.
GCSE Physics - Electrical Power lesson plan, PPT and worksheets
ncrumptonncrumpton

GCSE Physics - Electrical Power lesson plan, PPT and worksheets

(0)
A complete lesson plan, presentation and worksheets, including answers, for the subject of Electrical Power. It covers the formulae P=IV and P=I^2R. The worksheets are structured to develop the skills of the students in the use of the formulae starting off with scaffolded examples working through to rearranging the formulae. The worksheets are available separately from bit.ly/TESncrumpton
GCSE Physics - Power, current^2 and resistance calculations
ncrumptonncrumpton

GCSE Physics - Power, current^2 and resistance calculations

(0)
A scaffolded worksheet allowing students to access the equation P=I^2R. They start by calculating the power and move onto rearranging the formula to calculate resistance. They end up having to use the square root to calculate current. All these are set in the context of real life.
GCSE Physics - Power, voltage and current calculations

GCSE Physics - Power, voltage and current calculations

(0)
A structured worksheet to take students through using the GCSE Physics equations P=VI. It starts off with 5 questions using it in the P=VI format then there are 4 further questions using the formula in a rearranged format. The final question is a tough one that requires linking knowledge from other formula, notably E=VQ and Q=It, both of which they need to know.

GCSE Physics Light, lenses and TIR complete lessons

4 Resources
A bundle of resources for teaching the majority of the aspects of light for GCSE Physics. The lessons cover critical angle, Total Internal Reflection, Ray diagrams and their drawing, power of a lens, refractive index.

KS3 Physics - Timeline of the universe

(0)
A fully resourced and differentiated lesson plan, presentation and worksheets for students to discover the Timeline of the universe. The lesson begins with students ranking celestial objects by size and then moves through speed of light, and size of universe to a group activity Apprentice style for them to draw a one year timeline of the universe. Great opportunity for group work and Building Learning Power. Groups 1 and 5 are for MA and LA students Group 2 can be duplicated for as many middle ability groups as necessary. Please remember to review. Thanks ;-)
