GCSE Physics - Pendula lesson plan and presentation

(0)
Complete lesson plan and presentation for GCSE Physics pendula. This introduces the concept of increasing length, mass and drop height and the effect on period. Calculations involving period and frequency are included. It references the standard AQA practical for pendula wherre students investigate the effect of increasing the length, mas or drop height of the pendulum to see what effect it has on period.

GCSE Combined Science - Trilogy - Practical tracker

(0)
This is a tracker sheet that enables students to record when they have completed each required practical for the Trilogy GCSE. It covers the Biology, Chemistry and Physics practicals for the Combined Science GCSE. There is also a useful link to some required practical videos to enable students to revisit these when they are revising.

Powers of Ten, Prefixes and Standard Form Homework/Worksheet

(0)
This resource is an opportunity for students to practice converting to common prefixes such as micro, milli etc. and converting numbers to standard form or scientific notation. There are 20 questions for them to complete and I have included the answers as well! This is aimed at Science students for the new maths content within the new GCSE (2016) for AQA, Edexcel, OCR and WJEC but it would be equally suitable for anyone needing to practice standard form so any Maths students. It is designed as a homework but can equally well be used as a lesson activity. This resource is designed to accompany my Powers of Ten lesson (available separately) which is a good introduction to this worksheet.
Questions on Ohm's Law

Questions on Ohm's Law

(0)
A series of more difficult questions on Ohm's Law compared to resource https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/ohm-s-law-calculations-worksheet-11280608 These require students to convert between common prefix units e.g. mA and the SI unit. A useful homework to set or use as revision or even as a class activity.
Exit ticket template

An exit ticket template that can be used for any lesson. Created in the style of a British Railway ticket. Provided in word format so you can edit the name on the ticket for your own. Great way to capture learning from the lesson or use as a recap. Not valid for travel! Can be printed onto Avery or Lyreco labels so you can stick them in to student books once they have been reviewed.
GCSE Physics Energy Transfer Calculations

GCSE Physics Energy Transfer Calculations

(0)
A differentiated resource leading students through the usage of E = Pt Energy, Power and Time calculations. This gives students an opportunity to reinforce their learning of the equation and chance to practice completing questions. Ten questions, scaffolded to start with then gradually allowing them to work on their own. It also involves some conversion of units on the harder questions. Complete with all the answers.
Tarsia Puzzle template

Tarsia Puzzle template

(1)
This is a handy template for creating Tarsia Puzzles. They are triangular pieces that form a hexagon when connected up correctly. Write words/definitions on each piece so that they pair up, cut up the pieces and then students have to put the puzzle back together based on their knowledge. This does not do it for you automatically. This is a great tool for testing knowledge on a wide range of topics.
GCSE Physics equations test sheet

GCSE Physics equations test sheet

(1)
This resource accompanies my FREE download of the Physics equations needed for the new GCSE (2016) for Physics. It is a blanked out version for students to complete. This is a great way for students to test, recall and revise the equations that they need to know. It can be used as a look, cover, write, check activity with the Physics equation sheet.
