This powerpoint has been created to give the children something to do when they fisrt come into the classroom in the morning. They could use a jotter or scrap paper to complete the activities. There are maths and spelling sections to complete each day and a SPAG or reading focused activity once a week too. There is a slide for each day of the week and the following slide gives the answers where needed so that the children can self mark. This is a great resource for settling the children in the morning and to keep them focused. The maths questions are arithmetic focused to help the children use their mental maths skills.

This could be used as a pre and post task or a revision task. The quiz includes 14 different questions with a range of different SPAG focuses, including relative pronouns, apostrophes and spelling. The quiz also includes the answers.

This full unit includes an overview for 5 lessons which will help the children to write a narrative poem based on the story ‘Alice in Wonderland’. A modelled write is included, plus the other resources needed to complete each lesson. Example of what the children may produce has also been included where appropriate for the teacher to reference and use to support any shared writing.

This is the story of Cinderella as told by the glass slipper. The story would be useful as a modelled write to support writing from the point of view of an inanimate object.

This would be useful to support a World War 2 topic. I used it to support the book ‘Goodnight Mr Tom’. The children then created their own dig for victory campaigns.
