A collection of primary and secondary sources, both text and images, on ancient China. The sources, along with a selection of questions, helps pupils learn more about the first dynasty of China and develop their inferencing and analysis skills.

Inspired by a visit to the Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology, this lesson examines the benefits and drawbacks of this unique form of archaeology, with a case study on the Uluburun Shipwreck. This oldest shipwreck ever found in the world provides evidence of international trade and holds a collection of precious and unique objects.

A special lesson examining the similiarities and differences between mythologies from 4 ancient civilisations: Rome, Egypt, Mesopotamia and Greece. The lesson begins with a discussion on what types of stories are myths and the definition of mythology. The main task of the lesson is pair work comparing two of the above mythologies (pupils are given a mythology to study, allowing some differentiation for myths you think are more/less challenging to study). The lesson ends with some plenary questions and a discussion as to why it is important to study ancient mythology. All resources needed are included.

Two power points with information on the Second World War in the pacific and the eastern front. Designed to make it easily accessible for pupils and to help students learn during lock down. This resource is not part of a lesson and does not have any activities with it, but could be incorporated into a lesson or be a useful resource for revision/introduction to the topic.

Activities include discussion of how these policies were an attempt to make a stronger Germany, and how successful these policies were, as well as women and children who fought back against the Nazis. A lesson (but can also be used as a piece of homework) to introduce students Thomas Becket. The main focus of the lesson is watching the first half of a very useful documentary, which gives a full account on the events leading up to, during and after Becket’s murder. Pupils watch the documentary and answer a series of questions.

There is also discussion on how cuneiform impacts our lives today and why it is important to learn about the past. The power point is a series of suggested activities to go alongside the booklet, including questions, working out mathematical equations, significance tournament and a linking game.
