Check and Review
Check and Review is a very simple Review Strategy which bookends every class.
Students are given time at the beginning of class to recall what they learned in the previous class (THREE THINGS YOU LEARNED IN THE LAST CLASS). At the end of your lesson, you will afford your students some time to recall what they learned during their current lesson (THREE THINGS YOU LEARNED IN THIS CLASS). This then creates a cyclical process whereby the final three will be the first three of the next class, and so on.
By establishing the daily routine in conducting this strategy, student’s will take this practice outside of your classroom to their daily practice.
Check and Review has two sheets per A4 page which can be divided into two and placed within the student’s textbook (or folder) once the activity has been completed.
