GIFT VOUCHER cards for Mother, Fathers' day or Christmas

(0)
Do you need a last minute easy prep activity for your students for a special event day like Mothers’, Fathers’ days or Christmas.? These gift vouchers have special relevance for those receiving them as they really come from the heart . Before embarking on the project encourage the children to visualise the person who will be receiving the gift voucher. What do they really love? What do they always ask you to do for them? (It would be nice to do something without being asked) What are you able to do to help them How do you think they are going to feel when they receive these wonderful treats? It is so very important to make sure that the students understand their role in this activity. They must be prepared to follow through with their promise…no questions asked. Don’t put in vouchers for things that you are unable to do (eg mowing the lawn) •You may like to print off the color versions so that your students can either cut around them individually and then staple into a booklet or cut around them in pairs and then made into a booklet. •Create a blank cover for the booklets which has your students’ personalised design on it, or you may choose to use the ones provided in the resource. This is for use by one teacher in one classroom. If you would like to share with your colleagues, PLEASE purchase a multiple license. Thank you :) •Blank sheets are provided for students to create their own gift vouchers if they would like to add some additional ones. •Can be used for a variety of celebration days eg Mother and Fathers’ days, Christmas, teacher appreciation. Other suggested gift ideas: Walk the dog, weed the garden, water the garden, clean the blinds, wash the car, wash the bath, make lunches or a meal, pick a bunch of flowers, go for a walk together…have a brainstorming session with your kiddos and see what they come up with. Suitable for a wide range of students to use. This is for use by one teacher in one classroom. If you would like to share with your colleagues, PLEASE purchase a multiple license. Thank you :)

All about me- A back to school book

(0)
This ALL ABOUT ME lap book can be worked on throughout the first week of school, but older students should be able to finish the project in a single day, if necessary. The open-ended design makes it most appropriate for children in grades k-2, as they can each write and draw at their own developmental level. •These books have been designed for use with Special Needs students in mind but can be used with any students. •The purpose of this resource is to create an overview of each child for those instances when the regular classroom teacher may be away from class, and the sub or relief teacher needs a quick and easy overview of the students in the class. •Assembly is easy with students cutting around the dotted designated lines and stapling or gluing the pages together into a booklet which can be displayed on the classroom wall or in a storage box for easy access. •Children can have their information scribed for them by an adult or they can draw images that go with each page in the booklet. 1.All about me- what I want people to know about me (preferred name, likes- dislikes etc) 2.My family- whatever the child would like to share about themselves and their families 3.My Friends- Who I like to work with at school? Who I feel safe with at school? Who I like to play with at recess and lunch. 4.My Hobbies- What I like to do outside of school, my hobbies and interests….my ‘special things’ Anything else I would like to share with my carers and teachers

Easy Prep Fun games l Morning Meetings, l Brain Breaks

Motivate and engage your students with these fun no games that require little or no preparation. Perfect for Morning Meeting activities -Fun Friday games, rewards and brain breaks, this NO-PREP game bundle is highly motivating for your students. -From time to time, as relief teachers we will go to a classroom and find that there is no lesson plan waiting. If you are familiar with the subject at hand, you can typically use the textbook as a basis for a lesson about the topic currently being taught. However, an issue arises when you know little about the class’s subject. Improvising for Relief Teachers -It is best to come prepared for the worst with activities and ideas of things to do with students which will engage and keep them on task. Obviously, it is always best to relate any work that you give to the subject if you can, but if not, it is still important to keep students busy and on task. In terms of classroom management, the worst thing to do is to just let them talk. This can often lead to either disruption within the class or even worse noise levels that disturb neighbouring teachers. -There are countless skills that students can develop through game playing such as critical thinking skills, creativity, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. -They are great fun, and I have tried every one of them in my classes. Quickly and easily plan an activity, physical education lessons or math and spelling game with these NO PREP ideas. -We all need to have these games up our sleeve for those lessons that may run short by 1-15 minutes, or as a brain break. This booklet is a must have for any teacher working as a Substitute or Relief Teacher. -Easy to implement (simply have the PDF on your phone or external drive for easy reference) Index is hyperlinked to make finding and activity even easier for you. Included in the booklet are over 40 activities including: Introduction  Icebreaker Questions Would you rather? This or that? Kim’s Game Human Knots One Fact Sort Yourselves Out What’s the Mystery Object? Celebrity Head Alphabet Letters Guess Who I’m Thinking of? Heads Down, Thumbs Up Silly Sally Going To A Party, Going To The Moon Hula Hoop Pass Grandpa’s House, Grandmother’s Cupboard It Could Be Worse …and much more!

The lines may not suit the font that you are using and so I have provided you with a blank sheet that can be used for you to add the line style that is used in your particular school or district. In Australia, for example, we have a different font style for each state and so it would be incredibly difficult to create a resource for everyone of them….hence this resource being made editable. If you would prefer not to do the editing yourself, I am happy to do it for you for you for a small fee (you would need to provide the font for me to use as I don’t have all school fonts on my computer) This is for use by one teacher in one classroom. If you would like to share with your colleagues, PLEASE purchase a multiple license. Thank you :)
