We have created a new course based on GCSE spec for KS3 to get them used to exam practice. I have made a number of lessons on the WWI, WWII and the Cold War (A total of 10 hours worth for Cold War). In those 10 hours students practice Edexcel's 4, 12 and 16 mark questions. This is an excellent introductory lesson for KS3 for Year 8 when learning about the Cold War. There is a long, depth focus on how to structure this for Year 8, with a clear sense of tasks to complete in order to 'guide' students to 12/12. Recommended 2 hours of teaching.
