7 lessons covering elements of music (rhythm/metre, melody, texture, harmony, and structure) for KS3, particularly Year 7.
The scheme of work has been made with limited resources in mind, perhaps for those teaching in a non-specialist room. Two/three lessons will need boomwhackers / pitched percussion for melody and texture.

Designed like a quiz night with a short ‘odd one out’ and picture round, 4 slides of short form listening and 3x 2 mark questions and 1 x 8 mark for both the Mozart and Paul Simon.

The elements of music can be done in a non-specialist room but need pitched percussion (boomwhackers work well).
20th Century starts with some lessons which can be done with little equipment and in a non-specialist room. The assessment is a piano piece.
The Baroque era includes the pieces to learn for the assessment and a powerpoint which explains features of the music.
All have powerpoints which include listening questions and tasks and cover about 7 lessons.
