I’ve drawn a simple head and tail (simple to allow EYFS/young children to have a go at cutting independently). All you need is a strip of paper, folded into a concertina, for the body. Children in my class were able to do this all by themselves after I modelled it.

This is a long banner (2 A4 pages, landscape). It can be put in your reading corner or on a display board (a board to celebrate reading, decorated with photos of children holding their favourite books, pieces of writing from children, and key vocabulary such as setting, characters, etc).

An activity to introduce children to the basics of addition and its written form with butterflies. Count the spots on the butterfly's wings and match it to the right flower. Children can write the sums down on the butterflies' bodies.
