I love resources that ensure all pupils are able to access & feel confident within lessons. It makes me sad when a pupil feels stressed because they don't get it. I love hearing a pupil say "I am on it miss".
All resources for main part of lessons are differentiated to 3 if not 4 levels of progress.
Starters are mixed ability so that I can get pupils to feel confident in areas they struggle on.
Any queries please email me; shacostello@gmail.com

A range of activities (perfect for engaging pupils in a task and ideal for revision) on area and circumference of a circle.
Movement from basic questions on area and circumference to more challenging exam style questions.
A mix of single, double and triple bracket tasks.
Perfect for revision, main tasks in lessons, consolidation and reasoning/problem solving skills.
Answers provided.
A collection of fraction activities perfect for lessons or revision. Differentiated and created with the new curriculum in mind.
There are basic fluency tasks, moving to application, reasoning and problem solving.
Solutions included for each task.
Attached is a basic PPT for a lower ability class in KS3.
It goes through number facts and a movie at the end of each round.
Pupils are placed into groups - no more than 4 per group as people start to disengage, you can give each pupil a job to ensure all are working. All should have working out paper. This is a great way to encourage group mathematical discussion and pupils working together.
4 rounds - 5 questions each and the best team with the most points at the end wins a maths piece of equipment. Q4 is the same on all rounds as it was something my class found difficult, some serious misconceptions around adding unlike terms in maths.
Differentiated resources.
Starts off on foundation (Red) - expanding basic expressions - but moving on in difficulty even in the red section. Fluency questions.
Developing (Amber) - expanding expressions when two terms in and introducing more negatives. More complex fluency questions.
Secure (Green) - Expand and simplify moving on in terms of how many negatives are introduced.
Exceeding (Blue) - problem solving and developing thinking - constructing expressions and expanding them with written problems and shape. Pupils demonstrate they are confident with expand and simplify.
Answers included.
Great resources to keep pupils engaged, can be used as a PPT presentation, Worksheet or I like to use as a thoughts and crosses - pupils play rally coach talk each other through how they got the correct answers and coach the other person if they wrong. First person to get connect four wins points on the system.

Differentiated short division task. Can be used as a worksheet or a thoughts and crosses.
Pupils work in pairs. Pupils aim to get a connect four – this can be straight across, diagonal or straight up the sheet. Creates really good discussion around each question. Both pupils complete each question – the person to choose the box wins the box if they get it correct but if they do not get it correct and their partner gets it correct they win the box. First to get connect four - wins.
Pupils can also complete as a differentiated worksheet.
Pupils can choose between red (foundation, fluency), amber ( little bit harder- the application of the skill), green (secure in the topic being taught, starting to solve problems) and blue (exceeding – pupils can work with skill taught in various contexts, reasoning).
Pupils show the questions, working out and answers that they have attempted in their class book.
Once pupils have spent however long you wish for them to work on the task. The solutions are provided so that pupils can see how much progress they have made.
This resource really got pupils using their mathematical oracy and discussing how you find remainders. It ensured pupils to use deep thinking to solve some of these problems.
