This is a comprehensive Literacy unit that will provide evidence for pupils ability in Reading, Writing, Talking and Listening. I use it with all S1/ Y7 students in order to profile their Literacy abilities. This unit offers engaging tasks and worksheets that will challenge and support all learners.

This resource includes a Reading, Writing and Listening assessment and Research Project all linked to the theme of LEGO! Pupils will watch the 75th Anniversary film (15mins) about LEGO’s history and will complete a listening task. The will use LEGO stimulus pictures to inspire Creative Writing. Also included are two interpretation passages (differentiated & with marking schemes). Finally, pupils will have the opportunity to complete a research project into the history of LEGO. Suitable for: Primary 6, Primary 7, S1 Y5, Y6, Y7

This resource includes a very detailed plan that tackles a question on KEY SCENE. It was developed in order to support pupils sitting Higher/ National 6 English. This plan will help students to produce an answer in the DRAMA section of the CRITICAL READING paper in the exam. It includes- key quotations, techniques used by Williams and support notes. This resource successfully improved the standard of Critical Essay marks in my class.
