MUSIC PLAYED WITH SAMPLED VIOLIN NOTES
WHAT VIOLIN SAMPLED NOTES ARE:
Violin sampled notes are notes recorded from an actual violin.
What is done here is, I downloaded the notes.
I trimed them into monoaural 1 second files.
I found the notes of songs.
Then when playing a song, I play the appropriate files.
This is superior to other methods of recreating a violin because
it is an actual violin playing.

VOCABULARY STORY 83 PRESIDENT KENNEDY’S FATAL FLAW
SEE IF YOU CAN PARAPHRASE MY STORY:
It is generally acknowledged President Kennedy was articulate with great rhetorical
skills, never being silent with a lack of an answer.
We must be reverent of the dead, but it must also be admitted that he went around with
scanty security. He did not retain enough guards, retracting them to give access to the public.
Scrupulous scrutiny of Dallas was not done on that tragic day, November 22, 1963.

WHAT IS RAGTIME? An infectious type of music
Not many things can surprise, but I was recently surprised by finding
a “new” type of music - Ragtime. While writing piano music for my computer. I decided to look for a program to write music notation. I found MUSESCORE4 which does the job.
They also have a libraby of music scores that can play. Some of it has graciously been made public domane. There I found a collection of Ragtime pieces arranged by year. It was hugely unknown to me.
In 1897, Scott Joplin wrote down a piano piece in Ragtime. He needed extra study to do so. It was a big hit in the USA and the world. In the following thirty years, similar pieces were written and sold mostly as sheet music and piano rolls.
This was obviously an age of piano music. People had pianos, played pianos, listened to them, danced to them. Ragtime music seeks piano novelty within its two handed happy framework. It is American Music and as such has a newness, freshness, freedom. It is optimistic. It died out in the late 1920's. People had enough? Classical music also ended.
Ragtime has had revivals. Two of Scott Joplins "rags" were made popular in the 70's. However it did not extend to the others in the inventors. There are probably hundreds, if not thousands of them. Finding these is similar to the discovery of dinosaurs - there was a whole
lost world.
Ragtime music is nice background music sounding, like music from a Western Saloon. It is surprisingly complicated.
What I have done: I made a player to make the music available. I am not a sophisticated music player user but I made a player that seems useful to me. It can play in the background of talk shows using one computer; this is why I made it partial screen with adjustable volume.
There are eleven Ragtime players on TES with twenty tunes each,
including the rags arranged in years as put there by CEANTHIC in
a set.
I hope you like this music; it was very popular once upon a time.

VOCABULARY STORY 98 CONDITIONS BEFORE WW2
People have speculated about spurious ideas about conditions before WW2.
The basics: The German Army was at a magnitude to intimidate its neighbors. It
marred prospects for peace. There were transparent threats devised to create panic
from a deranged Hitler.
A comprehensive rebuttal was made but to no avail.
People have pondered about wrong ideas about conditions before WW2.
The basics: The German Army was at a greatness to threaten its neighbors. It
spoiled chances for peace. There were clear threats made to create fear
from a crazed Hitler.
Thorough answers were made all to no use.
WHAT IS THE HORSE RACE GAME:
When I was a Speech Teacher, I had a small group of students.
At the time, using questions was a therapy method.
I wrote a program that accepted answers from up to 8 students
answering together. I used it successfully and continually tinkered with it.
I lavished my attention on this program. I think I thought of some good ideas.
Although my programming style was primative, I am still proud of it and
it still works.
At that time (2016), I had no people interested in the idea, beyond my
local group. (if that).
I put in a demonstration of horses using the same race students
would use in the Testing Machine.
How it Works:
8 boxes are shown on the screen. As students answer on a prepared keyboard,
the boxes turn purple. After all students answer, the computer marks them. All questions
are two choices (alternate choice). Alternate Choice is another subject.
The students number goes across the screen toward a finish line.
WHO WINS:
I found that a smart student would win all the time. He would taunt others by winning
by only one point. This disencouraged students to play. I had the computer pick a winner
based on how close they were to the actual winner.
The chance to win was expressed as a percent. It was halved for even point behind.
Everyone had a chance to win and effort was rewarded.
I HOPE YOU LIKE IT:
THE HORSE RACE GAME is crude and slow, but the ideas are there.
Its program code is cryptic. I have since used procedures which really help make
programs orderly.
With my ability to put this on the internet with TES, I am presenting it to you.
(This is the far future, you know.)
I also have a talking TALKING MACHINE on TES you can download.
Your ideas are welcome.

2023
THE HORSE RACE GAME IS A RACE BETWEEN EIGHT HORSES.
EACH HORSE HAS A DECK OF CARDS TO GIVE IT ABILITY TO MOVE FORWARD.
AT THE END OF THE RACE, THE COMPUTER PICKS A WINNER, BASED ON HOW FAR AHEAD YOU ARE FROM THE WINNER; EVERYONE HAS A CHANCE TO WIN.
STATISTICS ARE KEPT, RANKING THE HORSES. THEY AGE.
YOU REPLACE HORSES THAT DON’T WIN; EVERY FEW RACES (I USE EVERY TEN RACES).
THE COMPUTER DOES EVERYTHING. YOU JUST WATCH; FROM THE GRANDSTAND.
THIS IS AN ADAPTATION; A DEMONSTRATION, OF THE TESTING MACHINE.
THE TESTING MACHINE ALLOWS EIGHT STUDENTS TO ANSWER QUESTIONS TOGETHER.
START WITH YEAR 1 AND USE THE YEAR YOU END WITH THE NEXT TIME YOU PLAY.
