Fun Random Number Math Game - where I sound like a chipmunk. I generate 8 different numbers each day which my students use for adding, subtracting, multiplying and other exciting maths games. I sometimes just give them the first 5 numbers in the video and ask them to work out how they could make the number 100 using the 4 different number operations.

I wanted to create a fun multiplication quiz for my students. I wanted one I cpuld easily make each day for the students. I will be uploading a new movie each day. The idea is that you take these numbers and multiply them by the timetable of your choice! This fun multiplication quiz lets you test all the class at the same time, as each child is simply working with their own multiplication times table.

I wanted to give me students daily mental maths practice in a fun and different way. I have provided a way of generating pairs of numbers using a spinning top. The numbers could be added together, subtracted from each other, the numbers could be multiplied or divided, depending on the age and ability of your class. This test is designed so different children in the same class could be doing the same test, but with different number operations. This means every child is actively involved in the lesson! This daily mental maths practice will be updated on a daily basis!

I created a 2 Dice 2 Colours Maths Game so you can play any game requiring 2 dice. As they are different colours, you can also take the 2 dice and say, the red dice is the tens and the white dice is the units and generate lots of different 2-digit numbers. I have set myself the task of creating a Daily Multiplication Quiz - Day 2 - for my students. I found a cool old board in a junk shop and then went about using it to generate as many different numbers as I wanted in an exciting way. The kids who have tried this lesson have all really enjoyed themselves. Even better, if you try theDaily Multiplication Quiz - Day 2 - you will find you can have all the kids working on different times tables and still take the quiz as a whole class. You can even use it to teach them how to subtract numbers from 100 instead. Each day come back and try another version of this fun game!

Daily random numbers - Maths game. Every day I will generate 8 new numbers and as a creative maths teacher you can use them in the classroom. You could simply get the kids to make as many additions as possible in a certain amount of time, you could get them to add, divide, multiply or sort. If you stop the video after only 5 numbers, you could the class to work out how they can make 100 or as near to 100 as possible with just 5 numbers. It is a whole new concept in maths. Every day, for your maths warmup, you simply show them the latest video and then devise a simple, high speed maths game. You could even differentiate by getting different table to complete different tasks, all using the same numbers.

Here is my Daily Multiplication Test - Day 3 which I use in my classroom. The children choose their own multiplication test and then we multiply each number by the chosen number in 10 seconds. The children could also use the same numbers to subtract from 100.,

I designed this Math Class Music video so the children just see dice being thrown again and again for 30 minutes. It is something you could put on your whiteboard while children are working in their books. It is relaxing to watch and of course, if a parent or another teacher comes in, they will dice and numbers and be convinced you have got the right math working atmosphere. Try Math Class Music and see if it makes a difference in your class. Do this while children colour something related to maths.

Sample materials which combine the test papers and mark scheme to help teachers prepare for the 2016 tests. The idea being a student can answer one question and then together the class checks the answers. This is a great way of reviewing the maths tests as a whole class either as a way of revising after doing the sample tests or simple working through each question as a class.

A fun way to teaching counting during Halloween. I have combined three of my Halloween Resources to make them even better this year, a Halloween counting song, Number and Letter Handwriting worksheets linked to Halloween and 31 suggested ways of using these ideas in the classroom. You could look at it directly as a presentation and discuss the different skeletons being shown in each of the photos. You could print off and laminate the photos to make an interesting, eye-catching display about the Halloween Skeleton Counting Song. The students could also take the laminated photos and sort them into different groups of skeletons. The students can then discuss what they think each skeleton was saying or thinking. The photos could also be used as prompts for creative writing, factual writing or descriptive writing.

In 2016, there will be a new Maths test format. I have taken the sample 2016 Maths SATs tests and combined the original question and answer papers into single documents. This means you can ask a single question to the class, wait for a response on their mini white boards and then check their answers against the official marking scheme. The great thing about this is it really reduces the amount of stress in the classroom as the students are able to work on their own, in pairs or small teams to work out the answer. They can then discuss their different strategies at resolving each of the questions.. This is a nice set of teaching resources to keep a lesson well paced and snappy. I wanted to make Year 6 SATs revision more fun. I have combined each of the 2015 Past SATs papers for maths questions and the marking scheme into a single document. This means that a teacher can now show a single question and get the students to find the answer before moving onto the next question. This makes revision a lot less stressful. I have removed the time limits and of course students can now work in pairs or small teams to discuss their different strategies and answers. It also helps to make the lessons faster paced and snappier as the children start to gain confidence in their abilities to solve maths problems. This resource could be used in the classroom or at home to prepare for the UK Year 6 SATs exams. Students should try all the tests to gain the deepest knowledge of this subject. I have found a way of making Maths revision a lot more fun. I have combined the official question papers and the official marking schemes into a single document. This means you can ask a question, the students show their answers on mini whiteboards and then as a class, you look at the official answers and look at what the students would have scored. As this is a whole class teaching activity, students can work in pairs or small teams and discuss their ideas and strategies together. This really reduces the level of stress as children are able to build on each others skills. This teaching resource could be used in the classroom or at home. You could print off and laminate the photos to make an interesting, eye-catching display about Halloween Counting to 10. The students could also take the laminated photos and sort them from the smallest to the biggest. The students can then discuss what they think the answer is if they add 2 cards together. The photos could also be used as prompts for creative writing, factual writing or descriptive writing.
