I was trying to develop some ideas about how to present "Talk Iike a Pirate Day" to my lower ESL classes - those learning English or needing more support. I came across a video using the alphabet to teach about pirates using simple English and my Talk Like A Pirate resource, Pirate Alphabet, was developed. I hope you like it. The big idea is to print out the pages, and make them into fun flash cards.
I have included a presentation explaining the 31 different ways you can use these flashcards in the classroom to help your children expand their vocabulary and improve their memory skills. In addition, I have added some creative writing prompts for a fun set of English lessons.
You could look at it directly as a presentation and discuss the different objects being shown in each of the photos.
You could print off and laminate the images to make an interesting, eye-catching Pirate Alphabet display.
The students could also take the laminated photos and sort them into different pirate related objects. The students can then discuss if they can think of other pirate related objects starting with this lesson.
The images could also be used as prompts for creative writing, factual writing or descriptive writing.
The comes with 2 powerpoint files and list of words in a text file. In addition, there is a link to more online resources relating to this topic.
In addition, I added more documents, a 31 teaching activity guide and a word mat.

Lots of different Year 6 (KS2) revision tests. What makes these teaching resources special? I have combined the different official documents, so you have the questions and answers all in one place. You can choose if you have the questions followed by the answers or if you prefer all the questions together, followed by all the answers together. This means it is much more flexible in the classroom as you can set a question, then review the question as a class or you can work your way through a whole test paper at once!

I collected together 30 hours of ESL teaching resources about the topic of health, medicine and illness. It is a really great way of teaching!

Like the first version of 101 KS1 English Grammar SAT Revision Worksheets (https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/101-ks1-grammar-sats-revision-worksheets-11189210), it is packed with 101 printable worksheets for teaching and improving grammar skills in English. The topics are wide and varied, starting with Essential English worksheets that cover the basics, like the alphabet, days, months, and telling the time; then tenses (a lot about tenses!), then irregular verbs, question forms, word order in sentences, parts of English, uncountable nouns, and so on! If you have used the first BGB, you will know what to expect from this one. Around 25% of the worksheets in this book are closely modelled on activities in BGB 1, for example Full Stops 1 (pp.68-69).
The material starts off at beginner level, with the alphabet worksheets, then gets progressively more difficult. Only towards the end do things get “tougher”, with articles, conditionals, and phrasal verbs making their inevitable appearance! Don’t worry – all the answers and notes for use are included at the back of this book.
English teachers can use Another 101 KS1 English Grammar SAT Revision Worksheets in class, although it may be better to use the worksheets for homework and let students focus on speaking and listening and group work – producing language – in class. It is ideal for private study – i.e. homework or self-study – and also for use in online lessons. Teachers can adapt the worksheets in this book, and I would positively encourage them to treat many of the pages as templates for producing their own activities. For example, the sentence building worksheets (from p.60) would be ideal for adaptation, among many others.
I hope you enjoy learning English with Another 101 KS1 English Grammar SAT Revision Worksheets!
Remember, a good understanding of English grammar will open doors of opportunity.
Please note: This was originally marketed under the title Big Grammar Book 2. If you have bought this title, you do not need to buy this book.
