The students could also take the laminated photos and sort them into different sorts of Guy Fawkes Vocabulary. They can discuss the different activities and which they enjoy the most and why. Saint David's Day Presentation and Colouring Activities

Saint David is the patron saint of Wales. I have created a presentation which could be used either in the classroom or as part of a school assembly. This presentation links to a YouTube video which explains the day. I have also added a virtual walk around Saint Davids (the birth place of Saint David), provided some key facts about the day, links to a quiz and some Welsh themed colouring sheets. St Davids Day is an important celebration. Learn why the Welsh like to wear leeks on this day, and the significance of the daffodils.

There are lots of ways of using this teaching pack. It could be used as writing assessment for students learning Russian. The students could write about a topic in Russian before starting a unit, and then write again about the topic, using the second worksheet at the end of the topic to see how much they have progressed. It could also be used as an introduction to guided writing. Students can write sentences as a class and share the sentences together and they can then write them on their own. Alternatively, students could work in pairs - one student dictates to the other what to write down about what they see in the picture.
