The students then use this to model a sentence using the bottom set of pictures. There are lots of things to see and describe in every picture. When the students have completed this task, they can repeat it by working in pairs to discuss each picture. What works very well is for the two pictures to be directly projected on a wall. The teacher talks about the top picture, such as 'In my picture, I can see two seagulls flying.'... then the students model their responses, using the sentence structure provided by the teacher. I have taken the 2016 Sample KS1 SPAG paper 2, and combined the questions and the marking scheme into one document. The idea is you show the question, the children then show their answers on a whiteboard and then you show the answers and discuss the questions and why it is the right answer. Thinking Hats can be found in schools, businesses and a wide range of industries. I have created a set of resources for Key Stage 2 resources to use with almost any reading book. The worksheets are not linked to any book or any particular reading scheme and can be used more than once. These worksheets allow students to examine the same book from 6 different angles and so get a lot more from their reading experiences. These worksheets also provide a real reason to read their books carefully. I have used Thinking Hats a lot in the classroom and have found them to really motivate students to read more. These worksheets can also be used as a useful homework worksheet resource.

These worksheets are designed to be used time and again with different books. These are designed to be used in guided reading sessions. Many of the worksheets are designed in such a way that a student can complete them independently. However, to get the maximum out of this book, I would highly recommend these worksheets are used to consolidate the learning taking place in the classroom.
