This a version of a resource I've already uploaded. It focuses on gender and the change in masculine articles in the Accusative. Instead of the 'Family' vocab in the other version, this one features vocab from 'Der Hobbit' and was made to help some Tolkien fans in my year 9 FL2 class to have a rudimentary conversation about the film.

Slide 1 acts as a homepage for the activity. Students choose a number and are hyperlinked to one of the following nine slides. Each of these slides features a character from the Hunger Games plus on-slide support to help students say something about the character. HIGHER level reading text about the Olympic Torch, a factory in Coventry, Didier Drogba's surprise role in the relay, plus a bit of symbolism. The text is followed by questions in English, a 'find the phrase' exercise picking out the different tenses in the text, an 'adapt the phrase' exercise and a writing task. NB The opening statement about the torch having arrived in England won't be true until the 17th of May. Edit the text if you use it before.
