Sequence of activities to help students learn to say what they have done in German during this academic year and express this in the form of self-penned school reports
Aimed at Year 13, a series of activities on the topic of human cloning. First there is a gap-fill activity linked to the song 'Klonen kann sich lohnen'. This is followed by a T / F / NiT activity relating to a news report. Students then have to read and sort 18 statements about human cloning into 'For' and 'Against' groups. They must then analyse and categorise the arguments into moral arguments, medical arguments etc. This is followed by a translation into German and an essay title.
This dialogue is an upgraded variation of something I originally wrote for Lernpunkt Deutsch. There is a dialogue featuring Superman at the doctor's, followed by True / False / Not in Text questions, a manipulation and extension activity, and a vocab deduction exercise.
Key scene from the film "Sophie Scholl - die letzten Tage" , as it appears in the Drehbuch, in which Sophie is questioned by the Gestapo investigator. Students must (i) answer the questions in English (ii) compare the official script with the scene in the film and spot the differences.

This interactive match-up quiz contains 45 tennis terms. Each time it is opened it will select ten of the 45 at random. It will never quite be the same activity twice. If you use it in a computer suite every student will in effect have a different quiz.
Ten TRUE/FALSE questions in German about Rio 2016. If the" TRUE/FALSE" rubric is red the answer is "false". If it's green the answer is "true". Slide one acts as a homepage. Students choose a number and are hyperlinked to a question.

The sheet models common separable verbs relating to Tagesroutine in 3 tenses and the provides a set of interview questions which require students to use the verbs in different tenses. Could be done as a written exercise before embarking on the pair work.
Four short texts in which various movie characters describe where they live and where they have lived. Text is followed by richtig / falsch / nicht im Text questions in German.
4 reflexive verbs relating to ma routine journalière, set out as a table so that students can analyse and infer the pattern. Could be given out as a hand-out of blown up for display.
Students will need to have seen the first half of the film before doing this exercise. This worksheet contains a jumbled summary of scenes from the first half of the film. They should read the jumbled text and put the scenes into the correct order. There are quite a few adverbs and adverbial phrases to provide clues as to the sequence. Solution also supplied.
