Vocab quiz on the theme of UMWELT. Adapted from the "Who wants to be a millionaire?" template uploaded by ahardiment. This now works more like a traditional quiz. Students score 5 points for each German word they can give without any prompting and two points for any answer they get from looking at the multichoice options.

Activity featuring the 12 Olympics posters commisionned from artists such as Tracey Emin and Rachel Whitread. The Powerpoint aims to stimulate speculation, discussion, interpretation, a bit of guesswork, and suggestions for titles for the artworks. Lots of questions in French to structure discussion and (hopefully) get the pupils thinking More…. The title of each piece can be revealed with a click of the mouse once suggestions have been made. Typo now removed!

TOOLKIT to help pupils talk about what they have and haven't done during the school year.

Four short Foundation Level texts in which young Germans talk about their plans or lack of plans for work experience. Texts are followed by comprehension exercises in German, a 'Find the phrase' activity, a manipulation exercise, and a writing task supported by a toolkit

Playscript. An unlikely dialogue in which Belletrix Lestrange from Harry Potter and Bella from Twighlight discuss their differing approaches to health and fitness. A disagreement ensues about Voldemort's nose. Having practised and performed the playscript, students could (i) devise a dialogue in which two different fictional characters discuss the issue of health and fitness or (ii) devise a dialogue in which Bella and Belletrix take on a different GCSE topic.

20 slides with realia relating in one way or another to the topic of school. Each of the realia is accompanied by a question practising typical challenging AS question forms such as "In welcher Hinsicht ist ..." and "Aus welchem Grund ..."

TOOLKIT for reinforcing word order with WEIL and OBWOHL, for generating sentences to describe FAMILY and FRIENDS etc, and for the practising of key adjectives relating to CHARACTER and PERSONALITY.

Year 12 / AS level text about internet use plus comprehension, discussion and summary exercises

A vocab matching exercise followed by a simple toolkit to help students express opinions about school subjects in French, followed by a writing task with vocab support.

When you click on it, it hyperlinks to a phoneme for the class to practise. (This is similar to the one I made for beginners, but the vocab is appropriate to KS4.)
