This is a SOW I created for my top set Year 9s/10s. It covers all of Act 1 of Macbeth and is highly differentiated, offering loads of starters, tasks, extensions and stretch activities, as well as loads of engaging Homework tasks. I have tried to focus the information on the key stuff the students will need to know for the exam. I should have my complete SOW for Act 2 and 3 up in the next few days (20/10/18) and will provide links here on how to find them. To help with reading the text, I would also suggest using the McKellen & Dench version of the play as you do each scene. It is freely available on YouTube, simply seach, 'Macbeth, McKellen (or Dench) full. I hope this helps people. This resource focuses on question 4 of language paper 1 (critical evaluation). I have found it very successful in the past. This great great resource focuses on the first page of 1984. This is ideal as a guided activity and was specifically designed for a mid-level group, though could easily be adapted up or down. it has tons of questions and some really useful activities to help develop students skills. The download contains a complete lesson and resource.

This is a research based lessons aimed at higher level students that focuses on the students building independent study and research skills on how Scrooge changes as a character. There are loads of activities in the powerpoint and a model that the students need to critique. It also includes a GCSE style question and full WWW/EBI plenary. Hope you all find it useful.

A short revision SOW that I designed for my Year 11s on descriptive writing. It focuses more on different structures for writing and includes some different style models. It can be fairly easily adapted for KS3, though may at times be a little challenging for them. Enjoy.
