My aim is to provide you with everything you need to fulfil Topic requirements and those of the National Curriculum (without having to prepare anything.) I provide Power Points/videos and give you mp3s and lyrics. Notation is sometimes given. The instrumental parts are dead easy!

A child wants a bike for Christmas so that he can cycle and see his grandma on Christmas day. To There are loads of resources here depending whether you want a humorous song to sing or to go further with accompaniments etc National Curriculum For years 3 and 4 Play and perform in solo and ensemble contexts, using their voices and playing musical instruments with increasing accuracy, fluency, control and expression. For years 1 and 2 Use their voices expressively and creatively by singing songs and speaking chants and rhymes. Play tuned and untuned instruments musically. What is included? .1. Are they very different?Which is easier for the instruments? 1 Video of song 2 Animated Power points for teaching the song with music embedded. 3. Easy accompaniment shown on the PowerPoint. Also included backing and vocals MP3s,diagram of chime bars used and guide for children plus lyrics. My year 1 and 2 loved this. We used it in our emergency services topic and in our Christmas concert.

Listening to the news this morning , I heard an interview with Anna Deutcher. She is a musical prodigy and a delightful child! This is just what I need to inspire years 3 and 4 today and maybe give them an antidote to "Classical music is not cool" You need to be able to view YouTube in your classroom to use this PPT in order to hear her compositions and she her being interviewed.

This PowerPoint is a brief study of the Battle of Culloden and contains links to other relevant sites (pictures, videos, songs,info etc). It is intended to be used with The Skye boat song and another song "The Ghosts of Culloden ". The former is available on the premium site with mp3s, video or a PowerPoint presentation. Both songs act as a wonderful starting point from which to enter this period of Jacobean history. They can be viewed on YouTube. Our class are studying Famous British battles and we will use the songs as part of the music curriculum (The genre of folk music)

Ellie and Chloe wrote a song about the fish in the school aquarium Useful as a stimulus for poetry, writing or song writing, Children love the work of their peers. Method -Brainstorm ideas, Chose most relevant words and then find words which rhyme with them. Take the first sentence as a blueprint for subsequent lines (syllables) Develop a backing track using Dance E jay or a similar programme. Run in slide mode to hear sound.

I wrote apiece of entertaining music which is over 9 minutes long so that I could watch the children's sense of rhythm as they played on the claves or tambour to the music. Children who were quite rhythmic made quite complex rhythmic patterns. Its a quick and useful tool for assessment

These sound bites would need to converted back to WAV files in order to tinker with them Import into Audacity to alter sounds or they can be inserted into Power points I have put the link to the Audacity site where you can download free the program me to alter sound.
