Listening to the news this morning , I heard an interview with Anna Deutcher. She is a musical prodigy and a delightful child! This is just what I need to inspire years 3 and 4 today and maybe give them an antidote to "Classical music is not cool" You need to be able to view YouTube in your classroom to use this PPT in order to hear her compositions and she her being interviewed.

This PowerPoint is a brief study of the Battle of Culloden and contains links to other relevant sites (pictures, videos, songs,info etc). It is intended to be used with The Skye boat song and another song "The Ghosts of Culloden ". The former is available on the premium site with mp3s, video or a PowerPoint presentation. Both songs act as a wonderful starting point from which to enter this period of Jacobean history. They can be viewed on YouTube.
