To use a microscope to magnify cells
Give each pupil a piece of paper with microscopic writing on. Have a magnifying glass for them to use, can they see it now?, how could they see it more clearly?
Idea of microscopes?
STUDENTS HAVE TO FIND THE LEARNING OBJECTIVES FOR THE LESSON
Do a demo of the microscope, show the pupils each part and what it does, show them how to set it up on the smallest magnification.
Ask them to set the microscope up and read what is written on the paper and write it in their books (they are learning targets for them to write down, there are 3)
