Some simple subtraction, others including exchanging. Answers included both on power point and separately for self marking. Visual explanation of both number line and column method, with exchanging.

Whole lesson on finding patterns for sequences and continuing them. Rounding numbers starter activity for mental maths development and explanation on how to find patterns in sequences. Differentiated sequences to solve, from simply adding or subtracting the same number repeatedly to adding previous numbers (Fibonacci sequence)

DIfferentiated mental maths tests with answers included. 10 tests in total, including place value, counting, shapes, fractions, sequences, money, time, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, angles, halving and doubling. Can be timed as part of a lesson, done as a revision activity, or used as home work. Good way to briefly recap areas not currently being taught in class or to see what still needs to be covered in lessons. Can be done with a TA to support children who are struggling with mental maths recall. Feedback is appreciated!

Place Value lesson with teaching section at start to show how to partition numbers, activity with numbers to partition, differentiated into 2 digit, 3 digit and 4 digit and the answers included for either self or teacher marking.

Division lesson used in an interview lesson where I got the job. The ladybirds, caterpillars or flower games can be used as the starter, depending on ability, as the ladybirds and caterpillars cover the 2, 5 and 10 times tables and the flowers cover more. The power point goes through the teaching, the true or false cards are the differentiated main activity and the star challenges are the extension.
