Great Cumulative Spanish Review in both of these Powerpoint Jeopardy Games. This is a bundle of 2 Powerpoints, one for Spanish 1 and the other for Spanish 2. I use these as my final exam review day, but they could also be used as review at the beginning of the year for Spanish 2 and Spanish 3. These are largely based on the Realidades textbook, but can be easily used in any Spanish class. These can also be bought separately at my store. Categories include; Spanish1-Vocab,Verbs,Articles, Adjectives, Ir+a+infinitive and Misc. Spanish2-vocab, preterite, informal tu commands, present progressive, Direct and Indirect Object Pronouns, and Comparatives/Superlatives
This is a PowerPoint Presentation Jeopardy game that covers all major vocab and grammar structures in Spanish 2 based on the Realidades textbook. I use this for my Final Exam Review day, but it is a nice recap that could be used at the start of Spanish 3 as well. Categories include (Vocab, preterite regular verbs, Direct and Indirect Object Pronouns, comparatives and superlatives, present progressive and informal tu commands). It also has two daily double jeopardy plays and final jeopardy. I also throw a third element in my jeopardy games called club play where all teams playing have to be the first to come up with the correct answer if a club play pops up (it adds a nice dynamic to the game and keeps kids paying more attention when it is not their turn). Once club play is over the team that hit the club play originally will get to complete their standard turn. This PPT is NOT set up to keep track of questions already asked and therefore you will want keep track off to the side via whiteboard or piece of paper. This PPT does have transitions from the home jeopardy screen to questions and back with ease (answers are also included on all slides with the click of a button)

The Cold War, John F. Kennedy, Nakita Khrushchev, and the Cuban Missile Crisis come to life in this U.S. History simulation. Let your students become Ex Comm Advisers to JFK and help him make decisions during that high stakes week in late October of 1962. Students can do this individually or in small groups. They will get to make real decisions that were being discussed during the crisis. It is set up similar to a choose your own adventure and students will be able to keep score of their progress. This product includes a PowerPoint and a Word Document that students complete as they go. This is a great way to get students discussing and gives them a chance to put themselves in the situation room and think about the effects their decisions will have on all those involved. This is designed for a one 55 min. class period. The word document is the free preview file and the PPT is the paid product.
This wonderful, editable activity was designed for my Spanish 2 class but could be adjusted for levels 3 and 4 by adding more past tense in descriptions and clues. During the “party” a mysterious murder will occur and it is students’ jobs to talk to each other in the target language to gather and infer information to make an accusation at the end of the game. My students love this game and talk more in Spanish than in any other oral activity that we do. All students receive character cards days before the game starts to tell them how to act, what info they know and what secrets they have. Packet includes an optional prezi to guide the game, directions, plot, character cards, name tags, character list, clues and data report sheet for students to fill out while in conversation. Allow 2-3 days for completion. Designed for my Spanish 2 class but could be adjusted for levels 3 and 4 by adding more past tense in descriptions and clues.
This Simulation will have students talking about the Cold War for the rest of the semester. My students love this simulation! It is complex and detailed to the point that students get an authentic, hands-on experience as to what it was like to make some of the tough decisions as govt. leaders during the Cold War, yet it is simple enough to explain and execute with no high tech computer software required and very minimal prep work involved (only word docs). Students get to collaborate in groups as they represent different country during the Cold War. Each group will consist of a Chief Decision Maker, an Ambassador, an Economic Advisor and a Military Advisor (so all group members are involved). Over the course of four days, students will be faced with different scenarios from the Cold War and will attempt to reach their country’s customized objectives in order to score points. Students will have to collaborate within their own group as well as with other groups to accomplish these objectives. Students will also have to consider things such as trading natural resources and investing in their military/economy in order to develop their country for subsequent turns of the simulation. Included in this 19 page package is everything needed to complete the simulation; a user manual, a terminology page, chart templates, an assessment reflection sheet and all four scenarios. Scenario 1 is (Alliances NATO/Warsaw Pact), Scenario 2 is (Expansion vs. Containment), Scenario 3 (Collective Action Asian Influenza), Scenario 4 (Nuclear Proliferation). Duration of simulation is 5 days 55min. classes (1 day for explanation and 4 days for 4 scenarios). You will not be displeased with the engagement nor the higher-level of learning that takes place during this simulation.
