The Upper Elementary worksheet also asks them to draw the cross section. Can be done individually or in small groups. Suitable as an on-going activity. Best worked at A3 paper size.

Orienteering around a Pivot Point activity

Orienteering is a fun way to combine Physical Education with Maths! This is a simple, quick to set up, quick to run orienteering activity for school students. Once you have put together this pre-marked kit you can use it again and again. This activity is a good introduction to orienteering for students. It can be run indoors or outdoors, in a large or small space. Included in the pack are pre-marked resources ready to use, and also blank resources for you to modify to suit.

Volume: Reading and Recording Measurements

(0)
A set of 4 activities designed for students to practice reading scales for liquid measurements. Students can also practice recording the readings given. One of the activities is a cut-and-paste example, where students relish the opportunity to have a kinesthetic element to their work. These activities can be used to provide diagnostic information on students’ prior knowledge of reading volume measures, support their learning or as a follow-up set of activities. Provided; 4 activities and a sheet of cut-outs.

Scale Factor Drawing, with teacher notes

(0)
A worksheet with opportunities to draw scale factor drawings of images. This worksheet has two images to resize up and the opportunity for students to draw their own design to factor up (or down). Students will learn the need to note carefully looking at what parts of the images are in each box and transfer them correctly into the correct boxes in the blank spaces. Teacher notes included.

3 sheets of 2D and 3D geometry shapes. The first two sheets are the same activity of describing shapes, but the shapes are different on each sheet. The third sheet asks the student to draw, in the correct columns the 2D and 3D shapes they have identified. Can be done individually, but originally designed to be completed collaboratively in small groups.
