Writing and speaking preparation for communicating what you did last weekend. The teacher presentation guides pupils carefully through each step with modelled answers. The vocabulary sheet is also carefully differentiated and pupils are encouraged to be independent and add more phrases. A storyboard sheet is provided so pupils can practice with different partners using their sheet as a prompt. There is also a worksheet with fun puzzles reinforcing the past tense. This is ideal for assessment preparation. It has been designed for "what you did last weekend" but it would be to change to "what did you do in the holidays"

A collation of 23 match opinions to revise opinion vocab e.g. “les joueurs étaient décevants” these are differentiated into two resources: 1 being a worksheet with all 23 phrases and pupils decide whether it’s a positive or negative opinion. The second resource being a set of dominoes to develop and reinforce opinion vocab. The majority of the phrases have been taken from player and manager match interviews. Teacher PPT to introduce the key question … wo warst du in den Sommerferien? Pupils learn how to say where they were and are introduced to countries with the imperfect tense e.g “Ich war in Amerika”. Pupils describe their experience in the past using positive and negative descriptions. Pupils also recall weather and different verb forms in the imperfect tense. There is a puzzle to review learning. There is also a worksheet to support recall of countries. Attached is also a set of prompt cards of country flags to support speaking work. This is pitched at low level learners and is ideal to support SEN students.
